Tracking - now even easier!

From now on, you only have to track once a day on your way to work and will be rewarded with 100 coins! Previously, you could earn coins twice a day, but you also had to track twice. This impacted the battery consumption of your smartphone and also took the flexibility out of your commute home. With the new system, you will only receive coins for your commute to work and no longer for the way back. But don't worry, we've adjusted the prices for our rewards accordingly so that you won't be at a disadvantage. This means you can still earn the same amount of rewards.

Let's take an example: If you previously earned 100 coins for each commute (outward and return), that would total 200 coins per day. You could afford a voucher worth 200 coins. With our new system, you now earn 100 coins every day. But the price of the voucher has also been reduced to 100 coins. This means you get the same reward for fewer coins.

What does this mean for your previously collected Coins?

Your past earnings have been adjusted to the new system to ensure that existing and new users have an equal opportunity to earn rewards. This might entail the addition or subtraction of some Coins from your account. If your Coin balance remains unchanged, everything regarding rewards remains as usual. For the future, you can look forward to tracking only once a day and enjoying the rest of your day stress-free – Pave Commute is now simpler and fairer than ever!

This update is all about improving your carpooling experience. Now it’s even easier to look for carpool partners, compare available groups, and choose the one that works best for you!

Map view: Switch between groups and users

As always, you can use Map View and List View to search for suitable commute Groups. Now you can scroll through your individual matches too!

Access Map View in the Groups Menu (chat icon in the bottom bar) by tapping on See All or Join.

At the top of the screen below the filter swipe left or right to switch between GROUPS and USERS.

At the bottom swipe left and right to scroll through Available Groups. We also show groups that don’t exist yet but that you could create with one click.

The users who belong to the Group shown at the bottom are highlighted and connected with a dashed line on the map.

The map view will show you all users in your commute community. And of course, locations are only rough approximations; exact addresses are never shared.

At the bottom swipe right or left to scroll through potential matches.

You can still always create new groups from scratch by tapping the plus sign.

Carpooling is at the heart of our app, that’s why we’ve embarked on a journey to make the daily carpool as seamless and joyful for you as possible. In the end, spending a good time together with your carpooling colleagues can make your day, right?

This app update contains lots of changes to how carpools can be planned and managed. But of course, also bikers, walkers and transit users are provided with an increasing level of usability in our app!

Explore groups in map view

You’re probably already used to scrolling through available groups in the list view. From now on you can switch to map view and decide better which group you prefer. 

Access map view in the groups menu (chat icon in the bottom bar) via tapping on See all or Join.

Swipe left and right to scroll through available groups. Click on the question mark for an explanation of what you’re seeing on the map.

No worries, no sensitive personal data are shared here. Home addresses are only shown approximately and your street name and house number are not shown to other users. 

The map view also lets you create new groups from scratch. Additionally, users with a similar route and with similar working times are clustered and you can create a group with those users with one tap. 

As in list view you can filter the groups by mode, schedule and destination. Give it a try, it’s fun! 

Switching to list view is possible any time.

Major improvements to carpool administration

You can thoroughly plan your carpool now. But you don’t have to! 😉

When you join a carpool group, the new Plan page let’s you coordinate the week with your colleagues:

• Click on a day and see who’s joining on that day.

• With two new buttons, carpool planning becomes seamless:

• Tap on I’m joining to let the others know when you’re joining the carpool.

• Tap on I’m the driver to take on the role of the drive of that day. 

For each day you join, a check mark appears under the calendar day.

Getting started with Pave Commute has never been that easy

Sign up and onboarding are as compact as possible to make the registration experience for users as convenient as possible. Hence, now’s the best time to invite your friends at work into the app with your personal invite link and receive extra rewards!

New users solely enter e-mail, name and address and they’re good to go! That’s all what’s needed to collect coins by biking, walking or using transit. 

What about carpooling? Additional data such as workdays and schedule are only required if you want to join a group, e.g. to form a carpool. Make sure to keep these data up to date so we can provide you with the best matching groups!

Surf the map

The address selection in your commute settings is now more intuitive and dynamic. Move the map with two-finger taps, zoom in and out, addresses update automatically as you move the pin. You can find it in the settings under addresses!

Finally…

We are constantly working on improvements to Pave Commute. With this release, we are making it easier to ensure your trips are being tracked by making it easier to find and select a tracking mode from Tracking in your app settings.

Commute Groups just got an upgrade!

Pave Commute learns about your preferences and always tries to recommend the best commute for you! When possible, the app also puts you in a daily Commute Group with coworkers who can support you or share trips.

In case we don’t get it right every time, you can now create a new Commute Group and invite friends or colleagues if, for instance, you are already carpool buddies.

If you’re not happy with your recommended group, we’ve also added an option to browse other groups in your community - with the ones most closely matching your preferences up top.

To check and manage your Commute Groups, just click the chat icon at the bottom of the screen.

If you’d rather not commute with a group, no problem! You can still earn rewards when you commute sustainably with Pave Commute!

We hope these new features make it even more fun to commute with coworkers. And of course, you can still earn rewards with Pave Commute when you commute alone!
